Program Assistant

The Greater Milwaukee Committee’s Scale Up Milwaukee initiative is seeking a Program Assistant. Scale Up is a scrappy, entrepreneurial initiative of the Greater Milwaukee Committee focused on transforming the culture of growth in the Milwaukee region. The position reports to the Scale Up Milwaukee Executive Director and supports the Scale Up Milwaukee executive committee.

In this role, you are a vital team member supporting every facet of our work and operation. The duties are diverse, but we expect our teammate to bring ideas and value beyond the stated responsibilities. This role requires an ability to prioritize and problem solve. You will be expected to approach your work with an entrepreneurial mindset and a desire to grow your own experience and impact on our community. This role requires initiative, creativity, ambition, and responsibility. There is significant room to make it your own.

Duties and Responsibilities can include

  • Assisting in logistical aspects of event planning and delivery
  • Creating, maintaining and developing strategic relationships and partnerships with business resources in the community
  • Assisting in the collection, entry and analysis of data, report research, metrics and other program evaluation tools
  • Sharing responsibility for marketing tactics like social media calendars.
  • Managing ongoing communication with program participants, faculty and stakeholders

Skills / Qualifications:

  • Self-directed, team player; strong problem-solving skills including the ability to develop innovative approaches and ideas to meet challenges with resourcefulness. 
  • Must possess strong organizational ability with capacity to manage multiple projects.
  • Ability to keep information confidential
  • Requires willingness and ability to work occasional evening and weekend hours.
  • Requires valid driver’s license with a good driving record and the ability to freely move throughout the building. The employee is frequently required to sit.

Education:

No specific degree is required but bachelor’s degree or equivalent is preferred. The compensation for this position is competitive and will be based on qualifications experience.
