This is not goodbye. I am leaving my role with Scale Up Milwaukee to start my family, but I am not exiting my interest in fostering the entrepreneurship ecosystem. More than ever, I want to grow Milwaukee for the new addition we’re bringing into our family, and I can see the significant progress we’ve already made.
The stars aligned to bring me to Scale Up Milwaukee last fall. The goal was to jumpstart growth in the region so I brought my knack for communication to help tell people how splendid Milwaukee is. No one is more proud to call Milwaukee home.
Or so I thought.
I joined this effort with a passion for my city, and my passion has been matched and often exceeded by the people I’ve met along the way. Turns out, a lot of people know Milwaukee is a great place to live and grow. This city is filled with entrepreneurs, politicians, educators, artists who are growing the city with the unique skills they bring to the proverbial table and a strong ambition to create dynamic and powerful change through growth. And none of them can do it on their own. It is becoming our obsession to grow, an anomaly in the Midwest, that is putting us on the map, becoming our reputation.
I am excited about what lies ahead and look forward to continuing to craft the growth stories from around the region as a freelance writer for businesses. Get in touch to discuss growth in Milwaukee over a (non-alcoholic) craft beer.
