2012

The Greater Milwaukee Committee and member Shel Lubar invite Dan Isenberg to Milwaukee to present his entrepreneurship ecosystem model.

2013

Scale Up Milwaukee expands programming to include CEO Forum, the Mayor’s Growth Tour, and Meet the Masters. WEDC awards a two year grant.  Scalerator 3 launches bringing the total to 45 companies.

 2014

Scale Up Milwaukee rebrands and adds a membership manager. The new membership platform expands Scale Up’s reach and impact through growth focused member meetings and events. It reached 100 members within the first year. Twelve new companies are invited to form Scalerator 4.

2015

2017

WEDC continues investing another two years of Scale Up Milwaukee. The fourth cohort of Scalerator graduates, totaling 57 companies. SPARC launches with 19 companies in partnership with the African American Chamber of Commerce and WWBIC.  Scalerator hiring since program start exceeds 600.

2020

Scale Up Milwaukee’s economic impact exceeds $1 billion, 200 newly high growth companies, and more than 1,000 jobs created in the region and across the state.
